sector, Mike believes clients choose Kinsol for the same reasons clients in other sectors choose them– their experience. They were the first company in Western Canada to break into the sector and they are still probably the largest. “We’re a very experienced design-builder of natural playgrounds,” Mike says, “and we definitely have the longest resume of completed work. I think that gives clients comfort that we knowwhat we’re doing.” Clients can also feel good about the environmental impact that KinsolPlay is making. For example, all of the logs they use in their natural playgrounds are reclaimed yellow cedar, which would otherwise be destined for pulp and paper – a fairly high carbon-emitting industry. “What we’ll do is we’ll pick off a dozen or so log trucks a year of these yellow cedar logs, and we’ll reclaim them back into a low carbon emission children’s playground,” Mike says. “I think that’s an important part of the story. Not only are we creating a play space for kids, we’re also doing our part to make sure there’s a good and healthy future for those kids.” THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
