also satisfied by the standard of quality that Anchored Construction achieves – if they weren’t satisfied, it’s unlikely they would ever return. Randy largely credits that consistency of quality to their partnerships with Straight Edge Construction and MacPherson Builders. “When we decided to grow the company, we looked around at the available labour and we found there really wasn’t any on Prince Edward Island,” Randy recalls. “The only way we could maintain the quality we were known for was by reaching out to other companies and people who were already known for doing quality work. We found that in Straight Edge Construction and MacPherson Builders.” “We aligned ourselves with the right people,” Randy adds. “That’s how we’ve maintained our quality.” Anchored Construction has also aligned themselves with the right suppliers and subcontractors – and even the right industry bodies. For example, Randy is quick to credit bodies like the Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce and the Construction Association of PEI with helping facilitate the company’s growth. “This industry doesn’t work without everyone working together,” Randy says, “and the Construction Association has been great at leading the charge. They’ve been a really good contact to have.” Randy is also quick to credit his employees – he says they have been as vital as any stakeholder to the success of Anchored Construction. “Me and Matt, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do unless we had really good employees,” he says. “That’s really the key for any company, having good employees. The fact is we’re only as good as the people working for us, and fortunately we have a really good bunch of guys working for us.” THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
