For instance, they were recently certified as net-zero builder and they are in the process of constructing a net-zero duplex now. The company hopes to achieve that standard, or close to it, on as many projects future projects as possible. Also currently in the works are three multi-family projects, including a set of row homes in New Westminster, and two sets of townhomes in Langley – the townhomes will come with rental units, which will give buyers flexibility. They are also wrapping up a couple custom homes, which will be their last before transitioning to multifamily full time. As for the size of Leone Homes, Dennis says they don’t have a specific target in mind. He says they will take growth as it comes: “If we continue what we’re doing, if we do things properly, and if we don’t take shortcuts, we think the business will automatically grow from that,” he concludes. “That’s how it’s worked for us so far.
