Larry founded Edgefield Construction roughly nine years ago, with the intention of focusing on institutional and public sector work. His goal was to create “a trusted contractor,” the kind that clients would “feel confident about.” “We always wanted to build a reputation as a company that clients didn’t have to worry about,” Robert says. “When we’re awarded a project, we want clients to feel comfortable. We want them to trust that when we’re on site, they’re getting what they expect.” Edgefield Construction earned such a reputation quickly, but what’s more impressive is they have maintained it. That reputation is evidenced by the company’s position on numerous pre-qualified lists. It’s also evidenced by their “quite significant amount of repeat work,” Robert says. “We earn that trust because we put customer service at the forefront of our mentality,” he explains. “We’re very much a client-focused construction company. We’re not here to make a buck and get out. We’re here to build relationships with our clients. We’re here to be a trusted source for construction. That was the premise of the company, and that’s what we’ve lived up to over the years.” Robert joined Edgefield roughly seven years ago. Since that time, the company has grown significantly in terms of both size and capability. Today, Edgefield’s services include conventional general contracting, construction management, design support, budgeting, preliminary investigations and feasibility studies, resource allocation management, and building condition assessment. They regularly work within occupied buildings, around sensitive environments, and around complex structures.
