In 2017, for example, the company’s flagship project – the Araliya, the largest show-home in Edmonton at roughly 12,700 square feet – was a national finalist for ‘Best Estate Home over $1 million’ at the Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) Awards of Excellence. The Araliya is located on the prestigious Windermere Drive, and overlooks the River Ridge Golf Course and Saskatchewan River. According to the company’s Founder and President Sunny Sahni, it is a “masterpiece of absolute luxury and modern design,” and “unlike anything Edmonton had ever experienced.” The Araliya’s features include, but are not limited to: a 1,200 square foot developed roof deck, a five-car garage, six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, four fireplaces, two kitchens, two wet bars, two office dens, a home theatre, an exercise room, a mediation room, a golf simulator,andabuilt inwaterfall. The ceilings in the grand entry are 23 feet high, and 11 feet in the living spaces. The home is decorated in neutral tones and ultra-modern furnishings which have been imported from all over the world. The home was also integrated with feng shui aspects, to “keep the balance and positive energy flowing,” Sunny says. The goal in designing and building Araliya, Sunny explains, FEBRUARY 2021 “The goal in designing and building Araliya, Sunny explains, was to prove Platinum Signature Homes’ limitless capability. Prior to that project, he had mostly done smaller projects but he wanted to show that he could do so much more.”
