JANUARY 2021 to design and build his own homes from scratch. “I’ve always been a creative person, and this was the chance to showcase my creativity,” he says. That was four years ago. Today, Grande Built Homes builds primarily in two neighbourhoods of Grande Prairie, called Westgate and Kensington. Both are situated on the west side of town, within walking distance of all the amenities and services that buyers will need. Within those two neighbourhoods, Grande Built delivers a wide range of custom housing products, with homes valued from $380,000 to $620,000. Within their niche, Jordan says that Grande Built Homes is set apart by a number of factors. At the top of that list, he believes, is their superior design. His wife Jessica Gregson is the Creative Director of the company, and together they share a passion for designing spaces that are both functional and beautiful. They ensure that every home they deliver boasts street appeal, is comfortable to live in, and suits the lifestyle needs of contemporary home buyers in Grand Prairie. Jordan and Jessica also share the opinion that quality is just as important as looks. That’s why they only use durable, energy- efficient materials, and it’s why they are constantly researching new products to incorporate into their projects, “to ensure we stay current with home buyers wants and needs.” “I like to think we’re a little more current than most builders,” Jordan says. “We follow trends quite closely and we’re always updating our finishings.” “A lot of builders don’t do that, because it’s easier to stay the same for as long as possible,” he says. But we think it’s important to spend the extra time and effort to make changes. We want to make sure we’re appealing to the ever-changing wants of our customers. Its 2021 – customers are a lot more discerning than they used to be, and trends are changing
