The Construction Source
FEBRUARY 2021 Their services span from pre- construction, construction, including design build, construction management, and general contracting. “We’re pretty diverse, and we’ve worked all across the country,” Jerry says. “Our clients benefit from that wide range of experience. There’s very little we haven’t seen before, and there’s almost no issue we can’t solve.” Jerry officially joined Buttcon less than a year ago, but his affiliation with the company goes back 18 years, when he started working with them as a client. That’s how he got to know Peter DiGaetano – the President and CEO of Buttcon Limited, who has himself been with the company since 1981 – and that’s how he came to admire the company’s team and the calibre of their workmanship. What Jerry has always liked about Buttcon, he says, is the collective commitment of their team. As a client, he could see – and he appreciated – how much each individual employee cared about the success of his project. “Everybody says ‘We’re a very team-driven company,’” he says. “Buttcon is probably one of the few companies where it’s actually true. The people that work here are really important. They drive the company’s success. They are true professionals, they are extremely experienced, and they are leaders in what they do.” “Everybody is very passionate,” Jerry adds – and he largely credits that to the company being employee-owned. “Everybody has a proprietary stake in the business. They want it to be successful. They want to add value to our projects; they want to add quality to our projects. They have the client’s best interests at heart.” Jerry also credits the company’s collaborative philosophy, which is reinforced by their lack of a traditional company hierarchy.
