AUGUST 2021 projects that Arno and his team want to continue pursuing. Their primary goal is to keep making those clients happy and keep earning challenging work from them. They are also interested in growing the firm, but only at a very careful pace. Arno reiterates that, right now, the firm is large enough that they have the capacity and expertise needed to manage large-scale projects, but at the same time they’re small enough to offer a more personal service. He says they may end up adding a few people, but never enough to tip that balance. “I thinkwe could grow, but I want tomaintainour hands- on service,” he says. “I want clients to know they can pick up the phone and call us, and whoever answers the phone is going to have intimate knowledge of their project.” “That includes me,” he says. “I want clients to feel like they can call me directly. When they do, I want to be able to have a complete understanding of their issues, and I want to be able to speak to their project. I definitely want to maintain that.”
