AUGUST 2021 The firm enjoys similarly longstanding partnerships with many of their consultants and suppliers. According to Arno, a lot of those relationships started during his time at Bing Thom Architects. “I’ve worked with pretty much all of the big names in the Greater Vancouver and Lower Mainland area,” Arno says. “I’ve hung on to those relationships. I still work with guys I’ve known for over 20 years.” AMA also strives to form close- knit and lasting relationships with their clients – and over the years, they have been very successful. Many of the firm’s recent clients are repeat ones, and they are often doing multiple projects at the same time for the same client. One example of a repeat client is Landa Global Properties. Currently, they are working together on a three-tower, mixed-use development that will include a hotel, retail space, and residential homes, with some units set aside for affordable rental. That project is located on a 3.5 acre site near in Oval Village, a waterfront community in Richmond. Previously, AMA worked with Landa on their first Richmond project, called Cascade City, a two-tower residential development that is now almost entirely sold out. For that project, Landa gaveArno andhis team the “freedom to explore building form and shape, which differentiated Cascade City in the marketplace, creating something completely unique for the City of Richmond.” The goal for this upcoming development in Oval Village is to build on that success, and to create another “outstanding architectural legacy for the city.” Moving forward, those are the kind of high-calibre and unique
