In this edition, we highlight some of the industry’s leading builders and project managers in Ontario and British Columbia. South Park Project Management, for example, is an integrated design-build firm that primarily works in old Toronto neighborhoods. We spokewith their two founders and directors, Eric Adelman and Matthew Brooks. We talked about their mutual backgrounds in music, their transition to building, and how they are embracing the city’s ambitious goals for energy- efficiency in housing. Sonnarc Homes, meanwhile, is a builder of premium quality custom homes, renovations, and commercial spaces. They are based in Kitchener-Waterloo, and they take a more individual approach to building. We talked to Tyler Sonnenberg – the company’s vice president, and the son of founder Martin Sonnenberg – about the kind of projects they look for, and about the relationships they build with their clients. Also featured in this edition is Kanin ConstructionManagement, a project management company that takes on some of the largest-scale and most complex construction projects in B.C. They are a wholly-family owned Canadian company, led by President Ajit Singh Sangha, CEO Garry Sangha, and COO Kuldeep Singh Chohan – who are also the leaders of Crystal Consulting Inc., one of the largest division 9 service providers in Canada. We talked about the family culture they have instilled in the company, the reputation they have built in the industry, and their passion for building towers.
