In particular, they want to keep finding ways to make home-ownership achievable for more people, and they want to encourage other developers and government bodies to follow suit. “We believe there are still ways to make the dream of home-ownership attainable for millennials and young families. We don’t believe the window for that has been closed yet. If local governments can work with local developers, they can come up with solutions. There just needs to be a willingness to do so.” In the future, Cascadia Green also wants to expand beyond the City of North Vancouver. Right now, almost all their projects are there because that’s the area they know the best – Farzad says. Their goal is to become similarly familiar with other municipalities, and to hopefully achieve their vision of sustainable development on a wider scale.
