The Construction Source

THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA the price of parking spots from their units. “That reduces the cost of ownership for the unit, and also it helps traffic,” Farzad says, “because we’re not encouraging or enabling residents to have a car parked in their parking stall.” Every Cascadia Green project also has to achieve a high standard of finish and quality. Historically, Farzad says they have been able to achieve that standard due to the expertise and commitment of their team – that includes their roster of contractorsandsubcontractors, as well as their direct team of industry specialists. Both groups are highly diverse and largely longstanding. Directly, Cascadia Green’s team includes architects, designers, planners, engineers, analysts, researchers, project managers and site coordinators. Farzad calls those people the company’s “greatest asset.” Shirazeh Dabiri is one example. She’s the Executive Manager of Cascadia Green Development. She has Master’s degrees in both High Performance and Urban Design. She joined Cascadia Green roughly two years ago, and she describes the corporate culture as “very unique.” “It’s super friendly,” Shirazeh says. “You’d have a hard time finding this level of closeness and support in any other company.” “The people here are all highly- qualified professionals, and we all support each other,” she adds. “Whenever there’s an issue, we work together to find a solution. We all take a level of ownership in the company.”
