It’s important we stay true to that reputation. If we can grow while maintaining that, then we will.” Lastly, Dan wants to keep in mind the dramatic impact of what they do. He believes that, over time, builders can lose track of the importance of their work, but he never wants that to happen to him. “Building a home is one of the biggest life expenses for most people,” he says. “For most people, it’s their life achievement. It’s their dream. They might only do it once. I want to make sure they have fun. I want to make sure they enjoy the process. And I want to make sure they end up with a home they can be proud of. That’s extremely important to me.”
