Design District Access has been operating successfully for over a decade now. According to Dan- isha, that longevity is a credit to the relationships they have formed – not just with clients, but with employees and suppli- ers as well. On the employee side, Dani- sha says the relationships are strong because everyone at the company enjoys what they do. They are guided by systems and processes – which have been adjusted and upgraded over the years – but they are also given a lot of freedom and flexibility to experiment and grow. Because of that, they tend to enjoy com- ing to work, and they tend to stick around. From the start, the company’s staff turnover has been very low. Many of the company’s suppli- ers – of which they have hun- dreds – are also longstanding, with some going back to the very beginning.
