The Construction Source
JUNE 2020 That kind of award-worthy consistency, Jeremy explains, is what truly matters to Desig- nated Developments. They con- sider it more important than growth, which they will only do in an organic and controlled manner. “We have gained a lot of mo- mentum very quickly,” Jeremy says. “We’ve had overwhelming interest from people who want to work with us, but we’re not interested in growing for the sake of growing. We don’t want to grow so fast that the quality takes a hit.” “So many other custom builders seem to go in that direction,” he elaborates. “They take off, they say yes to every job, and even if they can’t keep up, they keep going, so their quality tends to go downhill. That’s not some- thing we’re interested in.” Instead, Jeremy reiterates that they will always be first and foremost, committed to quality. Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, the company is also interested in keeping people safe. To that end, over the last few months, they have been moving forward on all their current projects, but they have made the health and safety of their workers a priority. “We’re doing everything we can. We have supplied wash sta- tions on every project. There are COVID protocol signs ev- erywhere. We’re minimizing the amount of people on site at any one time. But we’re moving for- ward, we’re not sitting still.”
