The Construction Source

Jeremy, personally, is a carpen- ter by trade, and started with Draycor as a framing contrac- tor roughly 18 years ago. When the company decided to launch Designated Developments in 2016, he was given a leading role. Since then, he has over- seen the delivery of a consis- tent succession of innovative and high quality homes. Today, Designated Develop- ments works mainly on high- end custom homes, both on spec and as well as directly for clients. Their projects can range greatly in value, but what they all have in common is their quality and attention to detail. No matter what Designated Developments is building, no matter how large or small, they are committed to using only the best building products, and the best sub-trades and suppliers. For example, the company has formed very close relation- ships with partners such as WJL Contracting and Rob Tournour Masonry. Both companies are recognized as being leaders in their fields – WJL Contracting in high-end timber framing, and Rob Tournour Masonry in ma- sonry contracting. According to Jeremy, both companies truly care about their workmanship, and both employ dedicated teams that go “above and be- yond” to get it right. “That’s what sets us apart – our team,” he says. “It’s not just who have we on staff, it’s not just our management and ownership, it’s everyone that works with us to execute every fine detail. We’re all on the same page. We all believe in what we’re doing, and we all take so much pride in it. We are all committed to the end goal of creating houses that our clients can call home.” Jeremy is personally on-site most days, so he works closely with the company’s sub-trades in particular. He says their shared passion makes it excit- ing to go to work. “I get in my truck every morning and go to work, and I’m excit- ed,” he says. “I get to hang out with others who are as passion- ate about the project as I am. It makes the process seamless and fun. And again, I think it shows in our quality.” JUNE 2020
