Moving forward, those are the kinds of positive outcomes that EllisDon aims to continue generating – no matter the project size or build- ing sector. Part of Ian’s role is looking for new opportu- nities in the British Co- lumbia region, and help- ing to develop the area’s strategic plan for area is always looking to the fu- ture, evaluating market trends and determining which markets will be active and which will not. Currently, he sees the commercial sector as very strong, and predicts EllisDon will be perform- ing work there for years to come. The same goes for the healthcare and airport sectors. “We’re also pursu- ing a lot of residential op- portunities right now, as well as a number of civil opportunities,” he ex- plains. “We have active civil and industrial groups in the BC area and we want to continue devel- oping a presence in those markets as well.” Overall, he sees “incredible opportunity” in the metro Vancouver area as well as the prov- ince as a whole. EllisDon aims to seize those op- portunities by growing their cradle to grave ser- vices, continuing to suc- cessfully deliver projects and by building great re- lationships within the in- dustry for a long to come.
