Welcome to the latest issue of Construction Source Canada, the magazine that highlights the best of the best in building and building products across the country. For this edition, we have taken a look at a variety of companies in the construction and property sector. Some are big, small are small, some have operations that span multiple provinces, and some are more locally-focused – but what they all have in com- mon is their commitment to quality. They are, all of them, set- ting the benchmark for what’s achievable in the industry. On the larger side of the continuum, for example, there’s Cali- ber Projects . They are a Vancouver-based developer that has, over the last eight years, delivered projects in excess of $100 million in value. In order to tell Caliber’s story, we spoke to several of their key people, including Business Development Manager Jerry Pol and Senior Project Manager Kevin Leyenhorst. They talked about the drivers of the company’s growth, the secret to their sterling reputation, and the latest technologies they are using to stay ahead. On themore local side, meanwhile, there’s DVL Homes, a builder in BC’s Lower Mainland that specialises in high-end single fam- ily custom homes, but has a growing focus in the commercial and multi-family sectors. They are well known in their region for their quality, their service, and their punctuality, according to founder and director Nick Dosanjh. Their reputation is backed by a number of industry awards, the latest of which we break down in detail.
